Recapture the Vision for America

God promised Israel life and happiness—if they obeyed His Law. But He also promised death and curses if they rejected it. Health, wealth, freedom, happiness. Sickness, poverty, slavery, death. The choice was very clear! God then called heaven and earth as witnesses to His Covenant (Deuteronomy 30:1-20). Israel ignored God’s Law. In fact, all nations have ignored God’s Law—with one outstanding exception!

That one exception—the United States of America—during its first two-hundred years. Our founders were men who feared God and built a nation based on the truths of this God-breathed Book. I believe this is the reason for American Exceptionalism . . . the greatest nation in history. But the beacon light of liberty and virtue has grown dim. We have become a de-moralized society. Like a ship with a broken rudder caught in strong waves, America is reeling from rejecting the values of God.

Can you dare to dream of an explosion of freedom, morality and justice for our land? Is the best of America behind us or is it yet to come? What if God would send a revival and millions would turn to Him in faith and obedience? Would America rise to greatness again? You bet! But before that vision can become reality, we must find clarity—the ability to see again what freedom does and does not involve.

America is suffering. We all know it. We know it because we are suffering. We feel it. We see it. It’s like a giant case of cataracts (the normally clear lens of the eye starts to become cloudy). The result is much like smearing grease over the lens of a camera. It impairs normal vision and diminishes sight—thus quality of life.

In the midst of our national agony we look for where to lay the blame. Is it really economics? Or education? Or is it crime? Or dishonesty and a lack of integrity? Or perhaps a lack of leadership? Or have we lost our vision—a vision that involves Christianity and the Bible?

Quoting from America’s Real War: “If it is wrong to deny the holocaust, surely it is also wrong to deny Christianity’s role in the founding of America.” ~ Rabbi Daniel Lapin

Most American citizens have no idea how quickly America has moved in an anti-Christian direction—away from the original vision. How can we recapture the vision? Glad you asked! It begins with you. It begins with me. It begins with each individual who claims to be a follower of Christ. Together, let’s Recapture the Vision for America!

“If My people, who are called by My Name, will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” ~ II Chronicles 7:14
